A thunderstorm was blowing through and it was very windy so it was time for a hairspray break.

The cake was a group effort, I baked it, my friend Alissa Fuller decorated it and my friend Debra Brandon decorated the flowers on it, it was beautiful and delicious.

The wedding reception was in our backyard, on the deck and down the stairs from the deck to the backyard. The look was Sarah's vision and turned out so beautiful and classy. I did the flowers with help from my friend Debra Brandon and my brother Jeff.

They had a frozen lemonade bar which was a big hit

This was such a perfect day that we have been looking forward to for 28 years. The Temple experience was wonderful. Thanks to Sarah's vision and a lot of help from family and friends the reception was beautiful and fun. We are so thrilled that Sarah is part of our family, she and Jason make a beautiful couple and have a lot of fun together. We are looking forward to many happy years ahead.

Husky Stadium June 13, 2009. It was an unusually beautiful and sunny day. I didn't think to bring sunscreen to Seattle so we all got a nice sunburn!!

This sign is the school where Jason's degree was from, the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies. His Masters was in Comparative Religion with an empasis on Islam.

Lounging in paradise, it was sunny and 80 degrees every day

Mark's birthday adventure, we rented a moped and explored the island

I wanted to get a couples massage for my birthday, it was heavenly! Mark loved it too.

We took these pictures so that Jason can see how much snow he is missing this year. It has been a very snowy year as you can see from the large burms which have accumulated.

Mark is the Bishop of a BYU singles ward and was happy to discover our garage attacked, by the members of our ward, with Valentines and best wishes messages.

We own 10 acres on top of a mountain in Utah. Mark and Jason hiked up the mountain, about four miles, to our property. They carried backpacks with ski and snowboard equipment for the ride down.

It was cold, Jason built a fire which they enjoyed while they ate lunch.

Santa always puts a little box of cereal and a banana in our stocking that we eat for breakfast before we open the rest of our presents.

Eating pecan pie after a delicious Christmas day dinner of ham, potato casserole, green bean casserole, Shirley's rolls and Andrus mandarin orange salad.

The bear had a fun Christmas too!!!

After everyone got their new pajamas on, Catherine read the Christmas story in the bible. Then Jessica and Mark read "Twas the night before Christmas." As soon as the poem was finished we heard Santa land on the roof, he was checking to see if the children were asleep yet. They were not in bed so they had to hurry and get ready and jump into bed. Fortunately they were fast enough so Santa came back and did not leave anyone any coal, so I guess we were all good boys and girls in 2008.
